PHOTO: A fiery crash on I-90 as left the freeway blocked for the second time Tuesday morning and a semitruck burning.
The crash happened in the westbound lanes just east of SR 18, according to the WSDOT. Video from the scene showed huge flames coming from the wrecked semi.
All westbound lanes are blocked at milepost 31 for the fire and crash investigation.

Awoman injured by a fire in her Longview apartment Wednesday night remained in critical condition on a ventilator and responsive to treatment as of Monday morning, Longview Fire Battalion Chief Troy Buzalsky said.
Longview firefighters and insurance investigators have determined the fire started on a cooktop in the apartment's kitchen, Buzalsky said, but it's not yet clear what exactly caused the fire to start.

Folks cruising on North Wenatchee Avenue can catch a glimpse of the progress on Chelan County Fire District 1’s new station as it moves along through the construction process. The new station is set for a substantial completion date on September 25 with a punch list to continue on through October 16 and plans to move in on October 1.

A man was arrested in Kittitas County on Sunday for allegedly starting fires and burglarizing a cabin. According to the Kittitas County Sheriff's Office, a resident in the 9000 block of Colockum Road called to report a fire at their cabin on Friday. Deputies arrived to find the cabin been set on fire with flares scattered around the cabin and firearms had been taken.

Chief Gary Ludwig, IAFC President and Chairman of the Board, asked Congress to support local fire and EMS departments as he testified before the U.S. House of Representatives' Committee on Science, Space, and Technology.
During his testimony, Chief Ludwig highlighted the importance of local fire and EMS departments to helping victims of COVID-19.
