CDC expands list of possible COVID-19 symptoms

The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) released additional symptoms related to novel coronavirus (COVID-19). Health officials recommend those experiencing any of these symptoms contact their physician or the local health department. Previously, guidance from state and federal health officials cautioned people not to call unless experiencing the three traditional symptoms of COVID-19.

Bremerton Fire Department training new hires in-house during pandemic

With training facilities around the state shut down by the coronavirus, Bremerton's four newest firefighters will hone their skills a little closer to home this year. Traditionally, Bremerton Fire Department's new recruits are sent to Bates Technical College in Tacoma – one of three fire academies in Western Washington – for 12 weeks of training.

Pasco police search for arson suspect

Just after 5:00 a.m. Sunday morning Pasco Union Firefighters Local 1433 responded to a vehicle fire in the 400 block of S 23rd Ave. where they suspect it was Arson. After the flames were extinguished, the Nest video was obtained and their suspicions were confirmed. If you watch the video you can see the blurry grey male approach the rear driver side door and get into the back seat.

Farm building south of Rosalia destroyed by fire

A farm shop south of town was destroyed by fire early April 23. Whitman County Fire District No. 7 fire crews responded at 4:37 a.m. and found the 50-by-20-foot farm shop fully engulfed east of Highway 195 in the Horn School Rest Stop area. Other units responded from Oakesdale, St. John, Colfax and Steptoe.
