A new app from Stanford Medicine built with Apple’s help will help connect firefighters, police officers and paramedics in California to drive-through COVID-19 testing if they are showing symptoms of the coronavirus. Here’s how it works: Users take a survey with questions about their symptoms. If they have symptoms suggesting COVID-19 infection, the app recommends testing.

3 rescued from grounded 65-foot vessel off Kingston

Firefighters rescued three people from a grounded 65-foot vessel early Wednesday about four miles south of Kingston. The drama unfolded at about 5:17 a.m. after the U.S. Coast Guard received a distress call from the vessel Kathleen, reporting that the boat was aground and taking on water off President Point.

CJ Tomlinson shuttered her dog daycare and boarding business earlier than other Seattle businesses out of an abundance of caution in the early days of coronavirus — but now she has made the difficult decision to reopen. Her outpost, House of Ruff, has been deemed essential by Washington Gov. Jay Inslee, and Tomlinson said she has taken 25 reservations so far for Thursday when she puts out the puppy welcome mat.
