Hill walks the Skyway to honor firefighters who lost their lives to cancer and PTSD. Hill walked the Skyway in 2018 with a pack covered in the names, shields and objects from firefighters who had died from cancer or suicides related to PTSD.

A false alert about a 'radiological hazard' in Washington state went out to some television viewers in Jefferson County Thursday night. The Jefferson County Emergency Operations Center said the false alarm was distributed to an unknown number of Wave cable customers and may be the work of hackers who accessed Wave's cable system.

A fire tore through a home in Vancouver Friday morning, causing major damage and killing five pets. At around 8:38 a.m., firefighters with Vancouver Fire and Clark County Fire District responded to a fire at a home in the 500 block of Northeast 127th Street. Officials said an off-duty firefighter lives in the area and was the first to call in the fire.
