Clallam County Fire District 3 has been given a financial clean bill of health from state officials.
Officials announced Tuesday that the fire district has passed its 2018-19 state audits with no findings.
The audits, conducted by the Office of the Washington State Auditor, included both an accountability and a financial audit.

The Anglin Fire burning over 1,700 acres near Tonasket is now 50 percent contained and some evacuation orders have been reduced.
All Level 3 evacuations have been removed. A level 2 evacuation order remains in place for Rehmke Rd. south of Siwash Rd. and all roads connecting to Rehmke Rd. Level 1 evacuations are still in place for the Cayuse and Island Mtn.

Another 32 COVID-19 cases were confirmed Tuesday in Grant County, bringing the running total of confirmed cases to 1,177 during the pandemic.
Tuesday’s cases are residents of Mattawa, Moses Lake, rural Othello, Quincy and Royal City, according to the Grant County Health District. Test turnaround time for cases since Friday averaged about four days.

No one was injured in a Spokane Valley shop fire late Monday night.
A loud smoke detector alerted the homeowner, who was able to call firefighters to the scene on E. Empire Ave around 10:30 p.m. The Spokane Valley Fire Department said the smoke detector had a unique sound and was able to be heard from inside the main residence.

Several firefighters were overcome while battling a fire in New Jersey that spread to several homes.
Four homes were burned and two were destroyed when a fire started in a basement on Passaic Street around 2 p.m.
At least nine firefighters were hospitalized and needed assistance after suffering from heat exhaustion and smoke inhalation.
