We rely on 911 to provide help and be there at all times, but over the years that's become a challenge.
Especially, as the nation continues to see a shortage of 911 call takers. Several call centers in Central Washington say they have been experiencing this for years.
"911, what is the address of your emergency?"
When you call 911 there is always someone on the other end of the line, no matter the call, help is always provided.

PHOTOS: Grant County firefighters worked to extinguish a haystack fire early Friday morning.
According to Grant County Fire District 13, the fire broke out in the 8400 block of Martin Road NW. They say the Fire Marshall’s office is investigating the exact cause.
Firefighters expect smoke from the fire to be visible for ‘several days.

Moses Lake City Council will vote Tuesday on a proposal to add a fee to new construction to help pay for expanding fire services.
The proposal was presented to council members in September, but the council asked for more information and for a look at other options. The proposal to be considered by the council Tuesday is the same one presented in September.

A Marysville man was recently reunited with the nine first-responders who saved his life the day before his 48th anniversary.
David Strube’s wife, Carol, called 9-1-1 Aug. 17 after he had a seizure. When firefighters arrived, he had stopped breathing. Firefighters began CPR and other advanced life-saving measures and were able to restore his pulse.
