The Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service is hosting more than 700 firefighters from across the nation and more than a dozen other countries as part of its 57th annual Industrial Fire School this week. Each summer, TEEX hosts three weeklong fire training courses that attract thousands from all over the world to Bryan-College Station.

The town’s beachfront was teeming with tens of thousands of tourists on the evening of July 19, 1969. The popular carousel with hand-carved horses spun its riders round and round. Illnesses related to the 9/11 attacks claimed their 200th New York firefighter this week. Firefighters Kevin Nolan and Richard Driscoll died on Tuesday and Wednesday respectively, the Fire Department of New York (FDNY) confirmed to The Hill on Thursday. “It is almost incomprehensible that, after losing 343 members on September 11, we have now had 200 more FDNY members die from World Trade Center illnesses," Fire Commissioner Daniel A.

A man suffered severe burns in a fire that ignited at a home in Washougal and was rescued by his neighbor early Friday morning. Firefighters responded to the residence in the 2100 block of 37th Street at 4:17 a.m. and found the fire was fully involved. The Camas-Washougal Fire Department said one burn victim was reported in the fire.

Technical Response Unit 54 is in service with Orange County (FL) Fire Rescue and is dedicated to technical resucue responses. The trailer is pulled by a 2007 International tractor and provides 19 compartments and four roof coffin compartments.
