This levy is crucial for the City of Kuna. The town continues to grow, and the fire district needs the funds to keep up.
“We’re already behind right now, and we’re just going to get further and further behind if the levy doesn’t pass,” said Kuna Fire Chief Perry Palmer.
Passing this $1.1 million levy means more staff and resources for the Kuna Fire District. If passed, it will provide a stable funding base, allowing them to hire six additional firefighters and paramedics. This would staff their ambulance and fire truck with a minimum of five people every day.
Right now, the minimum is three. And if the levy doesn’t pass, Palmer says it will be disappointing. But, it still doesn’t change the circumstances they’re in.
