E-ONE's Mobile Drone Command Trailer Debuts

OCALA, FL—E-ONE, a subsidiary of REV Group and a leading manufacturer of fire apparatus, is proud to introduce a new Mobile Drone Command Trailer, built in partnership with FLYMOTION, a leading provider of unmanned systems and innovative technology solutions.

The 16-foot all-aluminum Mobile Drone Command Trailer can serve as a fully climate controlled hub for remote UAS operations. With multiple work and flight stations, integrated communications, advanced LTE network capabilities inside along with a large external monitor compartment, this unit serves as a central command center for receiving all of the telemetry, video downlinks and data processing when operating drones. 

The Mobile Drone Command Trailer has practical applications for fire departments, law enforcement agencies, private entities and more, including search and rescue operations, hazmat responses, active shooter situations, mass casualty incidents and SWAT and tactical operations.

Yakima fire chief to discuss efforts to unite departments

Yakima Fire Chief Aaron Markham will brief the Yakima City Council on Tuesday on efforts to unite several area fire departments under a single authority. A copy of Markham’s report indicates that there is little interest in forming a regional fire authority, something officials last looked at in 2011.

California: Residents were hosting Super Bowl party when small plane crashed into home

VIDEO: Witnesses say the residents of one of the homes set ablaze in the plane crash in Yorba Linda were hosting a Super Bowl party at the time of the fatal wreck. The small plane lifted off from Fullerton Municipal Airport shortly after 1:30 p.m. Sunday. Authorities said the pilot flew the 1981 twin-engine Cessna 414A about 10 miles before he encountered some sort of mid-air issue.

Texas Firefighters’ Frustrations With Problem-Plagued Payroll System Boil Over

VIDEO: CBS 11 News has learned some of the big problems the city of Dallas is having with its payroll system. The president of the Dallas Fire Fighters Association, Jim McDade, said it’s hitting the city’s firefighters particularly hard. “We have a morale problem with the fire department and this is just an added kick to the head with these guys,” said McDade.
