A 35-year-old man was killed as he tried to cross I-5 near Stanwood Sunday evening.
It was around 6 p.m. when the man was seen entering the freeway around milepost 213 and then running across the southbound lanes.
He was first struck by a southbound Volkswagen Jetta, then two more cars, according to Trooper Heather Axtman.

Two people were found dead in a fire that burned a home housing a marijuana grow in south Seattle Monday morning.
A witness called 911 to report the fire in the 9200 block of Spear Place South around 5:45 a.m., according to Hilton Almond with Seattle Fire.
Firefighters arrived to find huge flames on the south end of the home.

The Spokane Valley Fire Department says retired Captain, Tim Cruger, died on Monday following a battle with firefighting related cancer.
Cruger served the department for over 29 years, beginning in June of 1986.
In a Facebook post on Friday, the department shared that Cruger was a second generation firefighter, who spent the majority of his career proudly serving the citizens of the Spokane Valley from Station 7 on Evergreen Road.
