Four family members managed to escape a two-alarm fire that heavily damaged their home in Kent early Thursday morning.
Multiple witnesses called 911 around 4 a.m. reporting flames shooting from the home in the 26500 block of 115th Place SE, according to Kyle Ohashi with Puget Sound Fire.
When firefighters arrived, they found the entire front of the home engulfed in flames, along with two burning cars in the driveway.

Fire District 5 is in dire need of volunteers, according to the station's chief Jay Foster.
"If nobody comes out and there's a fire, they ain't going to have no help. They ain't going to have no help for a long time," he said.
The station currently has 11 volunteers, all on-call. Only seven are trained firefighters and even fewer are EMTs.

Bellingham Fire Department personnel made 15 training attempts to intubate a dead man as he lay in a body bag on the floor of the apparatus bay at Station 1, according to an investigation into the incident submitted Sept. 4 by a Seattle law group and released by the city Wednesday to The Bellingham Herald.

Like their colleagues in Pittsburgh, Philadelphia and Chicago, firefighters in Buffalo believe there's a link between hearing loss and the sharp, piercing sounds of the sirens that accompany them to fires.
But four years later, the lawsuits they filed against the siren maker are ending and no one on either side is claiming victory.
