Man accused of harassing, threatening Spokane County 911 operator in more than 20 calls

Spokane Valley deputies arrested a man on Tuesday on suspicion of making “highly agitated and abusive” threats to a 911 operator. Christian D. Greenwald, 27, called the emergency hotline over 20 times making threatening comments, according to a Spokane County Sheriff’s Office news release. Greenwald also said he would become a terrorist and mentioned the Freeman High School shooting.

Arsonist strikes during church service in Seattle; Molotov cocktails used

About fifty people were worshiping inside a Seattle church when someone threw Molotov cocktails at it starting a small fire, the Seattle Fire Department said. Witnesses began calling 911 just after 8 p.m. Thursday to report a fire outside the Iglesia ni Cristo Church at 7100 42nd Avenue South. By the time the Seattle Fire Department arrived the fire had already been extinguished.

Centralia Dad with Olympia firefighter brings tragic lessons to classroom

"What I do for a living is communicate with people," said Brad Tower in front of an elementary school class in Olympia. "I actually work to change laws." But, with Olympia firefighter Dave Frost, Brad Tower is helping this class brainstorm a project to start a fire safety campaign at their school. "I was nervous about it," confesses Brad after it was over.

Finley (OH) Fire Equipment Donates Fire Apparatus

Finley said this process all started when he reached out to Chief Craig Clark about possibly donating a truck to them because Reinersville’s fire department budget is very tight. It was then Finley learned that their first-out engine was broken down.  

Mr. Finley said he and Bailey Buchanan delivered the pumper truck to the Reinersville Volunteer Fire Department at around 10 a.m. in the morning, on Sunday, Oct. 7. The truck is lettered with “Reiners­ville” on the cab’s front and on the doors.

Finley mentioned that Finley Fire Equipment had recently purchased a vinyl printer and cutter for all of the company’s lettering needs. The Reinersville truck was the first project for the new printer and cutter.
