Man arrested after FDNY ambulances vandalized with swastikas

A 42-year-old man was arrested in connection to a string of attacks involving FDNY vehicles that were vandalized with swastikas in Manhattan. The FDNY said Jem R. Ibrahimov, of Manhattan, was apprehended around 8:30 a.m. Saturday while allegedly vandalizing Engine 93/Ladder 45/Battalion 13, a firehouse that was targeted on two separate occasions.

8 D.C. firefighters hurt when 2 fire trucks collide while responding to blaze

It was a wild scene last Friday night: two fire trucks that crashed into each other on their way to a fire in the District. Eight firefighters onboard the trucks received non-life-threatening injuries. The accident at the corner of 15th and K streets took place as crews rushed to the scene of an apartment fire on nearby L Street.

Adult, child killed, 6 hurt as motorhome crashes off I-90 overpass into creek near Ellensburg

Two people were killed and six others were critically injured when a motorhome crashed off an I-90 overpass and went into a creek near Ellensburg Monday afternoon. The 40-foot motorhome and trailer were heading west on I-90 just before 3:30 p.m. when it suffered a blown tire and the driver lost control, according to the Washington State Patrol accident report.

Spokane Valley Fire Dept. celebrates Battalion Chief's 37-year-long career

The Spokane Valley Fire Department is recognizing Battalion Chief Stan Cooke as he retires after 37 years with SVFD. In a Facebook post, SVFD highlighted his accomplishments, which included service as a firefighter, dispatcher, paramedic, lieutenant, and battalion chief. Cooke was assigned to several different fire stations during his career.
