Central Valley (MT) Goes to Public for New Fire Station at Airport

There are more serious structural concerns inside the building. The foam insulation in the garage is not enough to hold moisture from the rusting roof out; insect infestations plague the building and sleeping quarters are in an area of the building with the roof held up by beams that are buckling.  

A report provided to the Belgrade City Council says the last remodel in 2013 “showed loss of roof assembly integrity.”

Hattiesburg Fire Department Takes Possession of $444K Fire Apparatus

The pumper comes equipped with a Cummins ISL 450-horsepower engine, Allison 3000EVS transmission and an aluminum cab tested to 66,000 pounds. On the pump and plumbing side, the truck features a 1,000-gallon UPF poly water tank, a Hale QMAX 1,500-gallon-per-minute midship pump and an FRC Pump Boss pressure governor.  

The new pumper – known as Engine Four – will replace a current truck that will now be used as a reserve truck. The addition of Engine Four brings the total number of trucks in the fire department’s fleet to 12.

Vehicle Collides with Buffalo (NY) Fire Apparatus

The collision occurred around 6 a.m. at the corner of East Ferry Street and Michigan Avenue.   

According to Buffalo Police, the driver of the other vehicle failed to yield to the truck's sirens and lights and drove straight into the truck. The driver did not have a driver's license and denied medical treatment after being extricated from the vehicle.

Dump truck catches fire south of Ridgefield

A mechanical issue is believed to have set a dump truck ablaze Thursday morning on a rural road south of Ridgefield. Clark County Fire & Rescue firefighters were dispatched to the 4500 block of Northwest 199th Street about 9:47 a.m. A single fire engine from CCFR and another from Fire District 6 headed down the street toward the reported address and spotted the truck engulfed in flames, said CCFR spokesman Tim Dawdy.

West Valley fire causes $100K in damage, 1 firefighter injured

A garage fire caused over $100,000 in damage early Thursday morning, according to the West Valley Fire Department. The fire started in the 200 block of Yule Road around 4:20 a.m. A detached garage was engulfed in flames and threatening the owner’s home when firefighters arrived. Although two windows were shattered by the heat, no further damage was done to the home.
