Now, a woman is dead after touching an unattended line in an alley.

Gov. Phil Murphy said Thursday he's ready to hand over control of police and firefighters' pensions -- but only if state lawmakers agree to some minor changes to the controversial spinoff.
The governor conditionally vetoed the bill (S5) on Thursday, calling for "technical changes" to protect the pension fund and New Jersey taxpayers.

Cedar Hammock firefighter Michael Dunn started wondering what happened to his patients after an overdose call.
"We would get these calls and save their lives and essentially jump back into the fire truck and leave for the next one,” said Dunn.
He wanted to give people the resources they need to get clean.

Crews are now attempting to recover a body from the waters at Palouse Falls after a person fell from the top of the 200-foot waterfall, according to KHQ.
A person called Franklin County Sheriff’s Office around 1 p.m. after they saw a friend fall into the water and fail to resurface, according to the Spokesman-Review.

Tracy LeClair with the Eagle River Fire Protection District recently returned to Colorado after fighting two big wildfires. "I was in Oklahoma for a fire, and then I went to the Flagstaff, Arizona area for the Tinder Fire," said LeClair. He knows it's only a matter of time before Colorado crews face their own big fires.
