Allentown (PA) Gets Grant to Replace Fire Apparatus

Allentown has received a $500,000 state grant to cover the cost of a new firetruck. The city's fire fleet has been the subject of concern from city officials since spring of 2017 when Allentown firefighters publicly sounded the alarm saying that the city's aging firetrucks had reached a "crisis" point.
