A Sunday afternoon fire at a Lakewood apartment complex displaced four families, according to West Pierce Fire & Rescue.
The fire happened early in the afternoon at the Arbor Pointe Apartments, 11432 105th Ave. SW, West Pierce Fire Battalion Chief Scott Adams said.
The fire is believed to have started outside one of the units and made its way into the apartment, Adams said.

Vancouver Fire Department knocked down a fire that displaced 16 families at the Trade Wind Apartments Saturday night.
Fire crews were called out about 9 p.m. on reports that two apartments in the eight-unit apartment complex were on fire. Two more units received smoke damage.
The fire department said the fire started on the first floor and extended to an apartment on the second floor.

Spokane firefighters say the iconic Shogun restaurant on E. 3rd Ave. appears to be a total loss after an early morning fire destroyed the building.
First arriving companies found heavy fire coming through the roof of the Shogun Restaurant and immediately began to attack the fire. Despite attempts to enter the building, they were quickly forced out due to deteriorating conditions above them.

A Spokane man is missing and presumed dead after Franklin County sheriff's deputies say he did not surface from the water under Palouse Falls.
Franklin County officials received reports at about 5:30 p.m. Saturday that a 23-year-old man was sucked under the raging waterfall while swimming with his friends.
