The crash was reported around 8:22 p.m. Wreckage at the scene showed a school bus crashed into the side of a car and an ambulance with some damage a short distance away.

There were no schoolchildren on the bus at the time. The ambulance rolled over and the wreckage from the three vehicles blocked two lanes on the freeway and a Sigalert was issued. Four people - all of them on board the private ambulance - were injured in the crash, with injuries that were described as non-life-threatening, officials said.

The Ferrysburg Fire Department, Grand Haven Department of Public Safety, Crockery Township Fire Department and Spring Lake Fire Department all received the AutoPulse Units on Tuesday, Jan. 30.

Barrington officials are suing a Canadian trucking company over the cleanup of a chemical spill last year, alleging firefighters unwittingly handled a hazardous chemical that damaged their equipment after being told the material was vegetable oil. The spill happened shortly after 11:30 p.m. March 7, when a semitrailer belonging to Xan Systems Inc.

Massachusetts fire chief placed on paid administrative leave
