Woman found dead after small house fire in Everett

Firefighters are investigating a deadly house fire in Everett Wednesday night. The fire broke out just after 10:00 p.m. at a small home on Lombard Avenue, between 25th and 26th Streets. Once fire crews knocked down the flames, they searched the home and found awoman's body inside. No further details about the woman were released.

Richland: Breaking ground for Duportail Bridge Project gets mixed reaction from neighbors

The City of Richland's plans for the Duportail Bridge Project are now under way. And while nobody told Action News they're excited to spend an extra $20 on their car tag to fund it, other reactions to the project are fairly mixed. Richland Fire Chief Tom Huntington said area First Responders are excited about the bridge.

Follow Up: Yakima Fire Chief retires after 30 years of service

Yakima Fire Chief Bob Stewart retired from the fire department Tuesday. Stewart spent his whole firefighting career right here in Yakima, a total of 30 years. He was a lieutenant, shift captain, training captain, deputy chief and then became chief in June 2014. Although he's taking many years of experience with him, Stewart said the department will get along just fine without him.
