Fire-Dex and Community Celebrate Facility Expansion

Groundbreaking at Fire-Dex expansion

Together with Medina (OH) city officials, residents, and employees, Fire-Dex celebrated its 29,000 square-foot expansion with a ceremonial groundbreaking on Monday, September 25, 2017. With more than 50 people in attendance, the event was a resounding success.

The expansion, which extends to the South of the existing building at 780 South Progress Drive, will include new offices, an on-site training facility, two additional truck bays, and a larger shop floor. In addition to the structural build, the new space will bring at least 30 more jobs to the city of Medina in the next three years.

For Fire-Dex, the expansion symbolizes its ongoing commitment to providing sustainable business practices and ensuring the nation’s firefighters and paramedics remain safe and protected head-to-toe with top quality gear.

The project is pending final approval of incentives from JobsOhio. “We are delighted that Fire-Dex plans to expand in Medina,” said Christine Nelson, Team NEO Vice President, Project Management and Site Selection. “We will work closely with JobsOhio and local partners to ensure the company continues to be successful in their important work of developing new solutions that keep firefighters safe.”
