VIDEO/PHOTOS: Local community members are joining forces .. donating hundreds of drinks and snacks to fire departments around the valley.
For the last five years, Larry Broderson has been teaming up with others across Yakima to show appreciation to our local firefighters.
Today he dropped off pallets full of drinks and hundreds of snacks to give firefighters one less thing to worry about while they're out saving lives.

Clark County Fire District 3 is looking to raise its property tax levy with approval of voters through a measure that, if passed, would increase staffing and allow for the district’s easternmost station to be staffed around the clock.
The district has a levy “lid lift” on the August primary ballot this year.

Two Grant County men will likely face federal charges after being accused of stealing more than $10,000 in radios and gear from a U.S. Forest Service Fire Truck.
Federal Firefighters reported five radios had been stolen from a fire truck parked overnight at a Moses Lake hotel on Kittleson Road.
The radios are necessary for the crew on a fire scene, so the truck had to be taken out of service.

PHOTOS: Multiple fire crews responded to a blaze in Putnam County early Sunday morning that caused extensive damage to an apartment complex, displacing residents.
Emergency dispatchers reported the fire began shortly after 3 a.m. in the Devonshire apartment complex.
Teays Valley Fire Department Assistant Fire Chief Cody Smoot spoke with Eyewitness News on scene and reported residents were evacuated as firefighters worked to contain the flames.

VIDEO: Gone, but not forgotten.
Heroes of the Chicago Fire Department were killed in a massive fire on Milwaukee Avenue in February 1985.
On Sunday, their community gave back, remembering their sacrifice. Captain Daniel Nockels and Firefighters Michael Forchione and Michael Talley were honored with a renovated mural at a park at Diversey, Kimball, and Milwaukee avenues, just down the street from where the deadly fire broke out.
