New Fire Station is Miami Township's First New Facility in More Than 20 Years

MILFORD, Ohio -- It's been more than 20 years since Miami Township has gotten a new township facility, so Friday's a big day as the $2.9 million Fire Station 29 opened with a ribbon cutting ceremony at 9 a.m. The station at 5644 Sugar Camp Road will provide the eastern portion of the township with improved fire and EMS response capabilities.

The new station was built through the use of municipal bonds at a cost of $2.9 million and took just over one year to construct. Additional staffing for the facility was provided by the local community through a Safety Services Levy that passed in fall 2015. Kelly said this facility is state-of-the-art for Miami Township Fire and EMS and will serve the community for decades to come.
