Surveillance video captures the moment a fire began in the Symons Building in downtown Spokane on January 28, 2016. According to officials, the first sign there was a problem can be seen from the small flicker from a light fixture. Hot material dripped from the fixture to the floor level. This led to plastic material igniting and moving into the adjacent wood wall.

A 7-year-old boy was dragged under the family SUV after he tried to stop if from sliding down a driveway in Richland Wednesday. The silver Dodge Journey was warming up at a home in the 1000 block of Allenwhite Drive and as the temperatures changed, the SUV began to slide, said Capt. Mike Cobb, of the Richland police.

The EPIC 3 RDI voice amplifier simplifies system integration and operation. When operating the RDI voice amplifier with Scott Safety SCBA equipment, a firefighter can communicate directly through the APX radio via the XE RSM push-to-talk (PTT) interface, providing a significant improvement to in-mask voice communication clarity. Simplified Bluetooth operation ensures fast and easy transitioning between tactical SCBA/radio and non-tactical radio communication modes while eliminating face piece wire entanglement hazards.

Rugged and high-heat rated construction ensures years of reliable operation. The EPIC 3 RDI voice amplifier is NFPA 1981 approved (2002/2007/2013 editions)  and is compatible with Scott Safety Air-Pak SCBA, PAPR, and APR products. Operational support for additional compatible Bluetooth enabled tactical field radios will be announced at future dates.
