A collision involving an AMR ambulance left one person injured in Interstate 90, about seven miles west of Moses Lake. Haylie L. Warren, a 24-year-old West Richland woman, was driving a 2012 Ford Econoline ambulance with lights and sirens on west on I-90 Monday afternoon, responding to a collision, according to the Washington State Patrol.

Ramsey Mueller dreamed of saving others, but he couldn’t save himself. A year ago, he took the first steps toward his lifelong dream of becoming a Tacoma firefighter. Seven months later, he died in his Tacoma home of a heroin overdose at the age of 27, a day after resigning from the department, two days after coming late to a morning shift, slurring his words and nearly hitting another vehicle while briefly taking the wheel of a firetruck.

Two bodies were found Friday in a home in Tacoma’s Lincoln District after an early morning fire. The blaze was reported at 2:45 a.m. in the 3700 block of South Yakima Avenue, near Lincoln High School. Firefighters arrived to find the house in flames, said Tacoma Fire spokesman Joe Meinecke. During a search after the blaze, firefighters found the bodies.
