Georgia house fire survivor continues to thank first responders 11 years later

Yakima, Kittitas County firefighters launch Central Washington Fire Training Academy

The Yakima Fire Department and Kittitas Valley Fire and Rescue have partnered to form the Central Washington Fire Training Academy, allowing firefighters to learn the basics while staying close to home and paying less. Both groups are struggling with an increase in 911 calls over the years combined with a nationwide shortage of firefighters and need the ability to be able to train new recruits in a timely and cost-effective manner.

Multi-vehicle crash leaves 1 dead, another injured in Snohomish County

One person is dead and another is injured after a three-vehicle crash in Snohomish County Monday afternoon. Seattle Fire Department rescues man who fell into a barge

VIDEO: A man that fell into a barge was rescued by a crew from the Seattle Fire Department on Monday, according to Chopper 7 footage from the scene. At about 1:08 p.m., crews responded to a confined-space rescue near the 3500 block of West Marginal Way Southwest. According to medics, the man was unable to climb out of the barge.
