At first, Bill and Kristi Anderson felt numb after learning that their 19-year-old son was found frozen to death in southeast Minneapolis the morning after celebrating the end of his first semester of college. Oakland warehouse fire: overloaded electrical system seen as cause

Federal authorities are expected to say Tuesday that the deadly inferno inside a warehouse art collective that killed 36 people on Dec. 2 was caused by overloaded electrical lines at the rear of the structure where investigators had focused attention, according to sources familiar with the matter. The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms, which has taken a lead role in assisting the Oakland Fire Department in the investigation, is expected to provide details at a news conference Tuesday morning.

ATF: No final determination in cause of Oakland warehouse fire

Investigators with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives have their completed work at the scene of a fatal warehouse fire that broke out during a dance party, killing 36 people. In a news conference Tuesday representatives from ATF stated there has been no final determination in the cause of the Oakland warehouse fire.

Infant, small child killed in fiery Camano Island crash; driver airlifted

An infant and a small child were killed Tuesday morning when a car slid off an icy roadway and collided with a tree on Camano Island, then burst into flames, the Washington State Patrol reports. A woman who was driving was seriously injured and airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, said Sgt.
