Whitfield County (GA) 75-Foot Pierce Arrow Video Tour

 

 

Whitfield County is bringing the first ladder truck home to the Georgia county in the last 30 years. The department added grab bars to the front of the cab to make cleaning the windshield easier and safer, a rear backup camera and right side camera, boom support compartments directly behind the cab, and three winch receivers under the front bumper extension.

Two Treated for Smoke Inhalation After Centralia House Fire

Two people escaped without injuries but were transported to Providence Centralia Hospital for treatment for possible smoke inhalation after a fire that damaged a Centralia home Monday morning. At 6:45 a.m. on Monday, crews from the Riverside Fire Authority responded to a report of a fire in the 800 block of J Street.

Pennsylvania firefighters rescue worker after 40-foot fall into empty water tank

Talk about narrow escapes. Rescuers managed to squeeze a fall victim out of an O'Hara Township water tower through what amounts to a large wire and tubing conduit. The man, who was part of a cleaning crew preparing the tower for painting, tumbled 35 to 40 feet into the tank when his scaffolding failed, according to officials.
