Three Children Killed In Oklahoma Mobile Home Fire

According to the Arkoma Police Chief, three children were killed in an early morning mobile home fire Wednesday morning (Oct. 19). Neighbors said it happened around 4 a.m. on Lowery Street. "I saw the fire starting on the front porch of the trailer," said neighbor Rick Deguzman. "I immediately rushed upstairs and got my mother.

Massive explosion at NW Portland building; 5 injured, including 3 firefighters

PHOTOS - A massive explosion, apparently ignited by a natural gas leak, ripped through a building Wednesday along the popular Northwest 23rd Avenue shopping district, causing destruction and injuring five people, including three firefighters, authorities said. Initial reports indicate no fatalities.

Update: Federal judge dismisses Ride the Ducks suit

The parents of one of the student victims of the September 2015 Aurora Bridge crash lost a round in federal court as they tried to hold the sightseeing company accountable for their emotional distress suffered over the death of their daughter. U.S. District Court Judge Thomas Zilly ruled that as per Washington state law, parents cannot recover these kinds of damages if the parents didn’t rely on the child for support.

Missing King County firefighter last seen in Roslyn

A missing Western Washington firefighter was last seen in Roslyn, authorities say. Ken Ward, 43, has not been seen since Saturday, when he may have visited acquaintances in the Kittitas County town, said Tim Perciful, a spokesman for Auburn-based Mountain View Fire and Rescue. Ward apparently mentioned that he would be traveling to Spokane, but his current whereabouts are unknown.
