The rear end of a northbound semi truck exploded in flames as it approached the Old Fairhaven Pkwy. exit on I-5 Monday afternoon. The fire and the ensuing response from firefighters blocked both northbound lanes for nearly an hour. Firefighters battled a fire Monday at a structure in Seattle’s University District. Chopper 7 was above the scene of the fire around 5:30 p.m. -- along University Way NE.
