Firefighter Pontius, 58, passed away 2 says ago, on Tuesday, April 12, 2016 from Line of Duty injuries sustained from exposure to toxic substance while operating at a house fire. It’s important to note that the fire that killed him was in 2001.

Six middle school students were injured - two of them seriously - when a pickup driver with a suspended license and a history of seizures lost control and slammed into a school bus stop Thursday morning in Maple Valley, officials said. Four of the children - all boys age 11 to 13 - were hit by the pickup and two were injured by flying debris from the crash.
