Crews responded to the fire at the 40200 block of Foulweather Bluff Road NE around 5 a.m., NKFR spokeswoman Michele Laboda said. Firefighters had a hard time accessing the cabin so NKFR's new fire boat was brought in from Kingston to fight the blaze while responders on the ground made their way to the scene, which involved a roughly three-quarter-mile beach walk.
