Police in West Seattle are investigating another pair of arsons in West Seattle, but now say it doesn't appear to be connected to six other arsons that have struck the neighborhood over the past month.
The latest fires were started around 2:30 a.m. on California Avenue SW at SW Oregon Street and SW Alaska Street.

After two months in intensive care and 10 skin grafts, firefighter Daniel Lyon has reached a significant milestone — he has been moved to a rehab unit where he is resuming some normal activities, including walking unaided and even eating pizza, as long as food is cut into small pieces.
Lyon, who was severely burned in the first hours of the Twisp River Fire on Aug.

A barn northeast of Sequim burned to the ground today.
No injuries were reported.
The fire at Graymarsh Farm at 331 Graymarsh Lane was discovered a little after 4 p.m. by an employee who then called 9-1-1, said Jamison Brandt, facility manager.
“Nobody knows how it started,” he said. “Nobody was present here, at all,” when it ignited.
