PHOTOS: Ten people were injured after a fire engine collided with a casino shuttle bus Wednesday evening. Yonkers fire engine 313 crashed into the driver's side of an Empire City Casino bus around 6 p.m. at the intersection of Kimball and Yonkers avenues. Firefighters from station 13, just a few hundred feet from the intersection, were responding to a fire alarm at 41 Maple Place when their truck hit the bus, Yonkers Fire Commissioner John Darcy said.

Kyler Olson and his mother Jaime Olson said when they saw smoke coming from a hill near their home they called 911 and rushed up the hill to see what was going on. "When we got up there, there were three people (who had gotten) out of the house," said Jaime Olson. The three people who escaped were an elderly man, elderly woman and their adult son.

Donovan Eckhardt has only been given weeks to live and now a community is coming together to honor and help a man who spent years helping others. Yakima firefighters have been spread thin over the past few weeks as they've battled dozens of fires and last night was no exception, as firefighters responded to three simultaneous fires in the city. Tuesday night another string of fires sent firefighters to three different locations, two of them started within minutes of each other and the other sparked just an hour later.
