Ammunition exploded as a barn burned on 215th Avenue Southeast in Maple Valley.
Neighbors said they heard blasts after the fire broke out about 3:30 a.m. Thursday.

The animals inside the barn are OK.
Neighbors were concerned the fire would spread because of trees in the area, but firefighters were able to quickly douse the fire once the gunshots stopped.
