The Wolverine Fire near Lake Chelan has grown to more than 28,000 acres. Fire officials say it is 20 percent contained.
More than 500 firefighters are working the fire.
People gathered at Phinney Ridge Lutheran Church in Seattle on Saturday to pray for a small village that fire officials on Sunday said was just two miles from the fire.

A Washington State Ferry rescued three men Saturday night when their boat began taking on water and the engine quit.
Mukilteo Fire Department firefighters and a unit from Snohomish County Fire District responded to a reported boat sinking with three persons on board about a half mile from the shoreline and south of Mukilteo Lighthouse Park on Saturday night just before 9:30.

A man died after the Hazel Dell condo he was in caught fire Saturday night, according to Clark County Fire.
Firefighters were sent to a fire at Forest Creek condominium complex, located at 7300 NE 16th Ave., shortly before 6:30 p.m.
While crews were on their way, there were reports of a victim trapped on the third floor, Clark County Fire said.

Seattle Police are seeking the identification of a person of interest after a fire was set to the Neighbours nightclub on Seattle's Capitol Hill at 11:30 a.m. Friday.
Detectives are working to identify a man caught on surveillance cameras near the time of the fire. He's seen walking in an alley behind the club in the 1500 block of Broadway shortly before the fire was set, police said.

The community came together to rescue a horse on Thursday morning.
Clallam County Fire District 3 reports a horse, named J.D., wandered into Meadowbrook Creek sometime in the evening on Wednesday, Aug. 5, behind 82 Meadow Drive near Sequim-Dungeness Way.
