Florida county’s new simulator to train area firefighters to battle airport fires

New screening program begins in hopes to prevent heart attacks in North Dakota officers and firefighters

VIDEO: Abandoned pizza restaurant destroyed in Lynnwood fire

An abandoned pizza restaurant in Lynnwood was completely destroyed in a fire early Thursday morning. Emergency crews responded to the fire at the abandoned Alfy's Pizza building, located on the 4800 block of 196th Street Southwest, around 1:30 a.m. The fire was under control by 2:15 a.m., according to a tweet from the Lynnwood Police Department.

Man dies after trench collapse at Renton construction site

A man is dead after a trench collapsed at a construction site in Renton, Wednesday. The Puget Sound Regional Fire Authority (PSRFA) responded to the construction site at NE 38th Street and Lincoln Avenue NE around 1 p.m. for the incident. Pat Pawlak, the PIO for Zone 3 with PSRFA, said the man was trapped in the trench, but others were able to partially unearth him and told officials he did not have a pulse.
