One person found dead after flames engulf Aberdeen mobile home

A mobile home was engulfed in flames early Friday morning near Aberdeen. The South Beach Regional Fire Authority said it was called out to Astoria Lane around 3:40 a.m. for the fire. Crews say they soon found the mobile home in flames, with nearby vehicles also covered in flames. Firefighters took down the fire but did find one person dead inside.

Fire at Gig Harbor construction site ruled arson

The fire that erupted at a construction site in Gig Harbor on Sunday morning has been ruled arson, the Pierce County Fire Marshal’s Office has determined. The Cove is part of Gig Harbor’s push to build more housing. The development is still being built, but two of the newly promised homes were destroyed in the fire.
