Polaris Inc. announced that 230,000 snowmobiles need to be checked again by authorized dealers due to a fire hazard from faulty fuel tanks.
The company determined that degraded fuel and extended storage increases the likelihood of an incident to occur from static discharge within the snowmobile tank.

Firefighting equipment and personal gear was stolen off of a truck belonging to the Department of Natural Resources, according to Spokane County Fire.
The crew was working on cleaning up the Palisades Fire north of Government Way which sparked last Friday.
Fire crews are asking anyone with information regarding the theft to call Crime Check.

VIDEO: A firefighter was hurt and two houses were damaged after a fire Wednesday morning in Puyallup.
Just after 4 a.m., crews responded to a report of a fire in the area of 109th Avenue Court East and 53rd Court East.
Officials told FOX 13 that a firefighter was taken to the hospital with a hand injury.

A homeless encampment caught fire Tuesday morning along state Highway 500 near Andresen Road, and flames spread to nearby grass and trees.
The Vancouver Fire Department responded at 8:10 a.m. to the vegetation fire. As crews approached they could see a large plume of dark smoke rising from the side of the highway.

A natural gas leak in Kent caused the temporary evacuation of three buildings Tuesday morning in the 18500 block of 80th Court South.
Puget Sound Energy crews responded and stopped the leak, according to Puget Sound Fire. Firefighters conducted air monitoring in the surrounding buildings.
