Crews respond to deadly plane crash at Pearson Field Airport in Vancouver

Vancouver police said one person was killed after a small plane crash at Pearson Field Airport in Vancouver Tuesday morning. Just before 7:40 a.m., Vancouver police responded to Pearson Field for the report of a plane crash. When emergency personnel arrived, they located an aircraft on the runway on fire.

Gas leak leads to Level 3 evacuation for residents living near elementary school in Cheney

Residents living close to Salnave Elementary School in Cheney were asked to evacuate the area Tuesday morning as a result of a reported natural gas leak. The Cheney Fire Department notified residents that lived within a block of Salnave Elementary to evacuate immediately due to a natural gas leak. The evacuation was categorized as level three, according to the Spokane Regional Emergency Communications Center.

Crews investigating after an abandoned building caught on fire in Seattle

Fire crews are investigating after an abandoned building caught on fire in Seattle Tuesday morning. According to the Seattle Fire Department (SFD), at around 7:45 a.m., crews responded to a small building fire at Beacon Ave. S and 12th Ave. S near Beacon Hill Elementary School. SFD crews confirmed that the house, covered with graffiti and surrounded with overgrown brush, was abandoned.

The new apparatus is a 2021 E-One Cyclone 2 pumper, capable of pumping 1,250 gallons per minute and boasting a 1,000-gallon tank. The price tag, including equipment, was $700,000.
