During Overdose Awareness Month, Knoxville Fire Department is working to shed light on the frequency of overdoses in Knox County. From Aug. 1-12, KFD responded to a total of 101 reported overdoses, according to their Twitter posts. VIDEO: Seattle Fire Department crews responded to a boat fire at a marina near Seward Park on Sunday night, the fire department tweeted. According to SFD, the fire broke out at a marina in the 9000 block of Seward Park Avenue South. Three boats were involved in the fire. A structure that’s used to house the boats was also damaged.

On July 15, a fire broke out at Keyes Fibre, a company that makes packaging for fruit. It was not the first time. Keyes Fibre constructs the fiber trays for fruit that people see when shopping at grocery stores, according to the company’s website. The fibrous material can be quite flammable and over the years the plant just north of Wenatchee on Highway 97A has had many fires.

Sixteen people, including 9 kids, lost their home Sunday evening when fire ripped through an apartment in Vancouver. The fire at Fountain Village Apartments broke out around 6:30 p.m., Vancouver Fire officials said. Smoke was seen billowing from an apartment on the third floor, but the fire was put out by the sprinkler system.
