Man injured in fire that destroyed Snohomish County home

A man was injured in a 2-alarm fire that destroyed a house in Snohomish County early Thursday morning. A spokesperson for South County Fire said crews responded to the 12400 block of 51st Avenue Southeast just before 1 a.m. after multiple people called 911 to report hearing explosions and seeing large flames.

Retired firefighter wins Apple Award for extinguishing fire at Yakima’s First Baptist Church

Fire that threatened homes outside Soap Lake also torched billboard

A billboard outside Soap Lake won’t be sharing any more messages, other than serving as a charred reminder that it’s fire season. But residences in the Lakeview area were spared from the fire that destroyed the billboard last Friday night thanks to the combined efforts of Grant County Fire District 7 and Ephrata firefighters.

Nampa (ID) Fire Department Breaks Ground on First New Station in 10 Years

A groundbreaking ceremony for the Nampa (ID) Fire Department’s first station in more than 10 years was held Tuesday afternoon, according to a report published by KTVB7.

The report said the new Station 6 will be at 1725 W. Roosevelt Avenue and will cut minutes off response times.

When finished, the new station will create nine to 12 additional jobs for the department, according to the report.

Mission (TX) Fire Department Building Sixth Station to Open in April

The Mission (TX) Fire Department is building its sixth fire station to keep the community safe, according to a report published by KRGV 5 News.

According to the report the city continues to experience growth which means the fire department will respond to more calls in different parts of the community.

The station, which is expected to be complete by April 2023, will also require additional staff and the city is looking at ways to hire additional personnel, according to the report.
