In an expansion of their fleet, the Honolulu Fire Department now has nine new trucks. HFD held a Hawaiian blessing at ‘Iolani Palace for the trucks, each given Hawaiian names. The names are significant because they honor King Kamehameha III, who established HFD in 1851. ”The apparatus being blessed are given inoa Hawaii, honoring HFD’s rich history, service of our ali’i, Kauikeaouli and Kalakaua — service of those past and present, and to highlight the unique places across Oahu.

An abandoned building burned Tuesday morning in Marysville, and an investigation has been launched by the Snohomish County Fire Marshal's Office. The Marysville Police Department tweeted a photo just before 6 a.m. of a burning red barn located at 116th Street NE and 41st Drive NE. Authorities said they don't believe anyone was inside the structure, though they continue their search.

Spokane detectives arrested and charged 59-year-old Kennie A. Calvert on Sunday in connection to the North Spokane Home Depot fire that occurred on May 19. Calvert was charged with first-degree arson and was booked into the Spokane County Jail. She is being held on a $100,000 bond. According to a press release from the Spokane Police Department (SPD), Calvert has 21 prior felonies.

Featuring a center console with front bench seat and leaning post, T-top, fore and aft tow posts, and engine crash rail, the boats are specifically configured to support the varied operational capabilities while still maintaining open deck space. With a black multi-chambered heavy-duty Hypalon tube and reinforced deep v hull, the 5.85s provide a durable, stable, and seaworthy platform regardless of the operational waters and sea conditions. Powered by a single 115HP Mercury four-stroke outboard, the boats will reach speeds in excess of 40 knots.
