One found dead after Kennewick house fire

Benton County Fire District #1 (BCFD #1) has released new information about a house fire that occurred on the 1400-block of South Elm Street on Monday morning in Kennewick. The fire, which started around 10:30 a.m., has left one person dead inside the home. According to BCFD #1, crews located a deceased person inside the home while clearing the residence.

Chelan County: El Tapatio truck likely a total loss after fire

Fire officials expect a south Wenatchee food truck to be a total loss after it caught fire Monday morning. El Tapatio on Ferry St. was fully engulfed in flames shortly after 7 a.m. when firefighters arrived on the corner of Ferry and Crescent streets, said Kay McKellar, Chelan County Fire District 1 spokeswoman.

Marshy area of wildlife reserve in Okanogan County catches fire

Okanogan County Fire District 6 says it’s a good demonstration of how dry conditions are when a swamp catches on fire. Firefighters from Twisp, Winthrop and Carlton responded Sunday to a wildfire believed to have started by a debris burn near the Golden Doe Wildlife Reserve between Twisp and Carlton.
