In the early 1980s, Indianapolis firefighter Tom Hanify was part of a training exercise using foam spray to put out a controlled house fire. After Hanify and the crew contained the blaze, they stuck around just to play in the foam. He said that at the time, the firefighters were just having fun. Now, looking back, there was nothing funny about it.

VIDEO: Fire crews are on the scene of a fire at a homeless encampment that began Monday morning in Tacoma. The fire is under control as the crews are now working on hot spots at the scene on Puyallup Ave, just west of Portland Ave. No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

VIDEO: Two fires that occurred in Seattle’s industrial district on Saturday were caught on camera. The first fire happened around 12:45 p.m. on South Holgate Street and involved railroad equipment. No one was injured and the cause is under investigation. The second occurred about two hours later and only about a block from the first.

Businesses at a Bothell strip mall were damaged Monday morning because of a large fire, officials said. Several agencies responded to the fire that happened at 22624 Meridian Avenue South before 2:45 a.m. Officials told FOX 13 News that power lines came down on the roof, which sparked the fire. The fire damaged the strip mall roof and it’s unknown if businesses will be able to open for the day.
