Recordings just obtained by KOMO News detail ongoing failures in Snohomish County's 911 response system. One call for help back on March 18 escalated into a lengthy delay.
Debra Teal was driving with her 6-year-old son Gage when she was rear-ended while turning onto 132nd St SE in Everett. Her son hurt his head, so she pulled into a Walgreens parking lot to wait for police and medics.

Fire season is here and it’s coming two weeks earlier than expected, according to WA Department of Natural Resources.
Just Tuesday, there were two brush fires within hours of one another.
And it’s not something Gary West expects to see this time of year, but it’s not all that surprising to him.
“You can see that undergrowth and the grasses are very lush and they're starting to dry out very quickly,” he says.

Firefighters launched a rescue operation Tuesday after two window washers became stuck outside the upper floors of a high-rise building in downtown Seattle.
Witnesses told KOMO News that the window washers were trapped outside the 29th or 30th floor of the CenturyLink building in the 1600 block of 7th Avenue.
