Texas firefighter sparks fire on the diamond in Banana Ball; ready for Team USA

VIDEO: Calallen grad Valerie Perez is a member of Corpus Christi Fire Station 7, but when she's not protecting the Coastal Bend she's putting out fires on the baseball diamond with the Firefighters. "Three years ago I think I picked up a baseball for the first time in 19 years," Perez said. "A ball competitively was about 10 years, so three years ago until now just between USA Baseball which opened the door to this kind of opportunity.

Tacoma fire crews battle boat fire in Commencement Bay

Tacoma fire crews battled a boat fire in Commencement Bay on Thursday. According to authorities, Tacoma police were the first to get to the scene after calls of a fire in the waterway in Tacoma. When police arrived, they found a 35-foot gas vessel engulfed in flames. They also found two people and a cat that had jumped off the boat into the water.

Fire crews respond to motorhome and manufactured home fire in Yakima, propane tank explodes

On July 4, fire crews extinguished a motorhome and manufactured home fire, according to Deputy Fire Chief Ray Lamoureux with Yakima County Fire District 4. Fire crews responded to reports of a motorhome on fire at 6:21 p.m. at 371 Woodward West Road. The fire started in the motorhome and caused a propane tank to explode, engulfing the structure.
