Follow-up: Anacortes Fire Department conducts ceremonial 'push in' ceremony

Last Thursday, the Anacortes Fire Department celebrated the centennial birthday of the newly restored fire engine, Engine 2, and the first birthday of their new fire truck, Truck 29. The AFD conducted a ceremonial “push in” ceremony for their new firetruck. The new vehicle is a 2024 Pierce Aerial Ladder Truck, and it replaced their 2000 American LaFrance ladder truck.

VIDEO: Fire torches 45-foot vessel on San Francisco Bay; 2 boaters escape

Two boaters and a dog managed to escape unharmed Monday afternoon when a fire destroyed the boat they were on in San Francisco Bay. The fire burned the 45-foot vessel off Westpoint Harbor in Redwood City at around 1 p.m. The San Francisco Fire Department said one of its rescue boats was at the scene extinguishing the fire.

New Jersey fire chief dies at 110; This was his touching final wish
