VIDEO: For first responders, the difference between life and death can be a matter of seconds. For some fire and EMS departments in North Texas, an app can now help them treat patients more quickly.
At North Richland Hills, crews are launching the Pulsara app.
It starts with a coded wristband for each patient.

The Pioneer Fire has grown to 3,800 acres near the north shore of Lake Chelan. At 0% containment, the fire is expected to continue burning until late October, according to Inciweb.
The fire was around 300 acres last week, but grew over ten times its size. The fire has been "actively moving up and down the lake," according to Inciweb.

PHOTOS: A quick moving fire swept through a portion of Walla Walla County over the weekend burning upwards of 1,400 acres.
The Neff Road fire burned 1,439 acres of pasture and Conservation Reserve Program (CRP) land fueled by high winds on Saturday, June 15. The fire, near the town of Prescott, was fully contained as of Monday.
