The El Paso (TX) Fire Department Thursday held the ground-breaking ceremony for its new Station 36.
The facility is being built next to the Hospitals of Providence – Transmountain Campus, the department says on Facebook. It’s part of an approximately $10 million project, says a report on ConstructionJournal.com says.
“Work of the project is for all labor, supervision, materials, services, and equipment required in conjunction with all work to construct a new two-story Fire Station of approximately 12,212 square feet,” ConstructionJournal.com says. “The type of construction is Type II-B. Living areas include sleeping room, bathrooms, kitchen, dayroom, offices, and weight room. Apparatus Bay consists of 3 bays and support spaces. The exterior will be a combination of brick and native stone with a metal roof.”
