PHOTOS: A man was seriously injured Friday afternoon after a truck hit a house in Seattle, the Seattle Fire Department said. Crews responded around 1:30 p.m. for a report of a recycling or garbage truck into a house near the 4100 block of Cascadia Avenue.
One patient from the truck was injured. Seattle medics took an adult man with serious injuries to a local hospital.

The number of vacancies in the Spokane Fire Department due to Gov. Jay Inslee's vaccine mandate continues to dwindle.
The city and Spokane Firefighters Union have reached an agreement that will bring three unvaccinated employees back to dispatch and one to the Fire Prevention Bureau.
A fire mechanic will also be allowed to return to work thanks to updated guidance from the Department of Health, according to city spokesman Brian Coddington.

Lots of news out of Twisp, which has renewed its fire protection contract with Okanogan County Fire District 6 for at least one more year, the Town Council agreeing to a $60,000 contract for fire services, an 11.6% increase over the previous two years. The fire district’s board of commissioners had approved the contract renewal earlier.
